Kevin Gonzalez is a printmaker and artist based in Corpus Christi, Texas. He earned his BFA in Printmaking at East Carolina University and is serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University–CC. Gonzalez has developed a technical fluency in intaglio and lithographic processes, and has extended his work into Ceramic and Sculptural practices. His work reflects the emotional terrain of masculinity, particularly the isolation born of traditional stoic tropes as a consequence of hegemonic masculine ideals. By dismantling archetypal narratives and reimagining them through queer symbolism and layered materiality, his art contributes to a broader conversation on identity, intimacy, and what it means to embody and challenge masculinity.
